Job Title: Hearing Aid Dispenser / Audiologists
Looking for a Hearing Aid Dispenser who is dynamic, forward thinking and has strong core values for patient care. This is not a typical office position. This is for someone who can work independently in the field.
- Assist in supporting the company culture of putting the patient first
- Willingness to be on the road to dispense hearing aids to patients at senior centers (over 100+ facilities)
- Work with activities directors at senior communities to organize presentations
- Remote/traveling
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include the following but not limited to:
– Conducts air and bone conduction threshold measurements
– Performs standard audiometric testing as required by state law
– Obtains Speech Reception Thresholds (SRT)
– Establishes Most Comfortable Listening Level (MCL)
– Determines Uncomfortable Listening Level (UCL/LDL)
– Uses speech masking
– Coordinates and interprets test results
– Completes chart notes for each patient seen
– Counsels patients regarding test results
– Reviews and recommends products for hearing care options
– Thoroughly explains the actual and realistic expected results and capabilities of their hearing health
– Provides hearing aid dispensing, including selection, fitting, ear-mold acoustics, ongoing management with follow-up and education
– Customizes moulds and performs modifications as needed
– Refers patients to appropriate medical professionals as needed
– Performs patient counseling
– Performs hearing aid repairs
– Performs hearing aid checks and cleaning
– Works with all name brand manufacturers for software adjustments
– Assists customers with exchanges
– Involved in clinical quality outcomes, including efficiency and productivity
– Provides excellent customer service to maintain public relations
– Community outreach to senior centers
– Follows excellent safety and infection control protocols
– Exercises confidentiality relating to patient and business information
